Feed Options: Number, Auto Delete and Retain Expired together

Hi,
first: love doggcatcher
second: I'm reading a view RSS Feeds. To not interfere with my Podcasts I set a few individual options.
I set the number of items to 30.
I said auto delete done items, once read it's old news.
But retain expired, cause I'm not reading often enough.
If I don't set retain expired the auto delete function works.
But if set to retain expired, exactly 30 items will be holded and done items will not be deleted, though auto delete is still set.
I hope you understand my problem.

Do you mean the feed thumbnails on the home screen?

Retain expired
The auto-delete options is for the media associated with an item, not the item itself. The retain expired could be used for news but it doesn't sound like it will help what you are trying to achieve.
I think what you need to do is to disable the retain expired. Don't worry about the auto-delete because it won't do anything for news items. This way you'll always have the latest 30 items available.
