Trouble parsing MP3 file from feed

The feed is: http://feeds.feedburner.com/DHUnplugged

W3C validates it, with the exception of one rather long Atom tag that appears to be setting up iTunes information. I also note that it uses a "media:" tag for the MP3 file rather than a "link" tag.

DC processes the feed very well, but fails at downloading then MP3 file.

Can DC support this feed in the future? Or should I see if they will alter their feed format?

Thanks

Podcast downloads perfectly, but won't play. Says it's not sure how to handle encoded file. Files are MP3. Any ideas?

The feed is a paid subscription, which I have a password and user ID for.

DoggCatcher doesn't know that it's an MP3 file, is what I'm guessing and I don't know how to make it recognize that it is. If I add ".MP3" to the end of the feed, Dogcatcher shows a music note. No podcasts are listed though.

I tried to find a way to add ".mp3" to the end of the file name, but couldn't find a way to do that.

I tried TWIT and it seems to work, but I when I tried "AndroidGuys", it had the same issue.
Podcast feed is: http://feeds2.feedburner.com/androidguyscom?format=xml

The error says:

"Not sure how to handle this enclosure type, it doesn't look like supported audio or video"

Thank you for any help you can give me. I like this app. and really want to get it working.

file extension

If you are seeing the error about not handling the enclosure type then the filename does not have an extension that indicates its type. The feed indicates the filename and extension, I'm not if/why the feed points to mp3 files but doesn't use the mp3 extension. I would have to look at the feed to know for sure.

Use This Feed

Please look at this feed. It has the same problem.
http://feeds2.feedburner.com/androidguyscom?format=xml

Is there a way to tell the software to treat it as an mp3 without the extension or a way to get software to automatically add an extension to the name after downloading?

My LBC podcast is a paid subscription and I would rather not post it. Whatever is done to get the feed above to work, I'll repeat for the LBC feed.

Thank you for looking into this.

Android guys

That feed has a variety of file types (rss, youtube, pdf). I think the proper thing to do is to have DC handle the media types that it can support and then hand off the remaining type to android which will attempt to find the appropriate application.

I created an issue for this.

Eric, any information on this issue. It's been about a month since the Mantis filing. Thank you.

Not yet

Things are usually prioritized by user demand, and there are a few other items on the soon list that I have gotten a good number of requests for.

Too many redirects

I'm seeing the same thing you are with this feed, and it's the same root problem that I have seen just a couple before that I haven't found a solution for. The links to the audio files have more redirects than the android http stack is able to handle. It seems to be the same as the feed in this post.
